Ranked 20th this week in the SSCIF poll, Breakers showed they belong in the top 20 with a pair of competitive road games

On Wednesday, March 13, Laguna won their first best-of-five set matches in 10 tries with Santa Margarita by sweeping the highly regarded Eagles 25-23, 25-23, 25-20 at their gym. Bianchi led again with 18 kills while Reavis added 11 and Lucas Kravitz had 4. George Knapp was dig leader with 17. Last Thursday, March 7, Laguna lost a tough road match at San Clemente losing 34-36, 29-27, 22-25, 18-25 at the Triton Gym. In the epic first set, longest ever in the 16-year rally scoring era, Breakers led 13-8 at one point but could not shake the hosts who tied the match at 25. Laguna served set point seven times before losing. Laguna led much of the pivotal third set only to let the Tritons back in to win the set on self-inflicted errors.
