Fisher Off to State Track Finals

Sebastian Fisher advanced out of the SSCIF Masters Meet held Saturday at El Camino College with a 4:13.13 time in the 1600 Meter Run to finish fifth in the 12-runner field, with only the top six advancing. Fisher will be seeded ninth out of the 29 entered runners in Saturday’s State Final at Buchanan High School in Clovis.
Season Winding Down
Saturday’s meet ends the high school sports season for the Breakers, the school’s 85th sports year and one of the most challenging in league play since their two-year run in the Seaview League in the mid 80s. Laguna under the Sunset Conference banner participated in 21 sports, with three facing off in the most competitive Sunset Surf League, 16 in the lower Sunset Wave League, and lacrosse in a single Sunset League format. Football participated in the Golden West Conference’s Pac Four League with Western, Ocean View and Godinez.
