Laguna Beach High School’s surf team “stole the show” during the Scholastic Surf Series Sunday March 3, at Golden West Street in Huntington Beach.

The surf had some size and power and was definitely challenging, but the Laguna crew handled it nicely.

Blair Conklin, unstoppable in the body board events this season, continued this week without exception and also ripped the shortboard competition, winning first place in that too.

On the short board, he was followed by teammate Cameron Zuziak, who came in second.

Eric Siegrist finished third in shortboard and fifth in longboard.

Cameron DePfyffer won the longboard and came in sixth on shortboard.

Tobie Grierson came in second on longboard and fifth in shortboard.

Coco Putnum, who had to battle a strong current and lot’s of close out sets, came in first in the shortboard and second in the longboard.

The team competes next on Saturday, April 13 at Oceanside Harbor.
