“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Thank you, Judie Mancuso, for your love and commitment to the animals which have no voice. By your actions, you have saved the lives of so many unfortunate and helpless creatures.

In a better world, creatures would not be captured nor bred to be slaughtered and eaten; it would not be considered “fashionable” to wear the scales and hides of helpless wild creatures, kept in captivity for their lifetimes. An animal is not a “thing.”

May Gandhi be wrong. May we never be judged by the way our animals are treated.

And thank you, Judie Mancuso, for helping us make moral progress, little by little, as long as it takes.

  1. Only In Laguna Beach does editorial space get alocated to the phoney-nobility of animal-treatment, as in: WHO ABUSES ANIMALS by eating meat, or wearing fur? FUR IN LAGUNA BEACH?! Jeez, some of you guys really need to get a life outside of this crap

  2. Thankyou Judy. What a breath of fresh air. Its time the world woke up to the disgusting abhorrent cruelty that has been accepted as ‘normal,’ for far too long. I woke up 26 years ago, so sickened by the barbarism, gave up meat, leather and eggs. Milk (for tea only – how ridiculous) and cheese, was the last to go, going Vegan, 21 years ago. I’ve never looked back. Never underestimate the power of any individual to bring change. It is constant. I implore everyone to dig deep and be the compassionate beings that we truly are and go Vegan. I wrote an article 2018, of a Vegan Revolution. Its coming. Amen.
