Letter: What Can I Do for Laguna?

letters to the editorReading the LB Indy News Recap email makes me feel attached to your lovely city, although I’ve never lived there and surely never will.

When I visit, I am always impressed by the warmth of the people I meet—the shop owners, restaurant and hotel staff, people on the street and at the beach. Some of your letters to the editor grapple with the pros and cons that come with the influx of tourists. But I have never been made to feel unwelcome by anyone in Laguna Beach. I compare it to the Hamptons, the snobbiest and most unwelcoming place I know of in this country.

Everyone I know in Las Vegas, where I live, wishes they could live in Laguna Beach. If we can be better tourists, tell us how.

Stephanie Cook, Las Vegas
