A strong qualifying effort by Laguna Beach’s Michael Lewis led to his third place finish on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Netherlands in Round 16 of the Formula 3 Euro Series.
Rain cleared up in time for the 11:15 a.m. start of the Dutch 4.307-kilometer race. Lewis started on the outside row in fifth position in the 40-minute, 26-lap Round 16.
Michael’s next race event will be Sept. 28-30, in Valencia, Spain.
