Laguna Beach resident Rosalind Russell and Rabin Sitaula, of Nepal, pooled their money as well as that of contributions from donors to build Top of the World School Nepal. Now, their goal is to raise $5,000 for a generator to power a student computer lab.

Supporter Ileana Gulmesoff hosts a fundraiser to aid Russell’s R Star Foundation with its goal on Sunday, Sept. 29. Her Huntington Beach backyard garden at 17151 Greenleaf Lane will be transformed into a venue for musicians, Nepali dance and food from 2 to 5 p.m.

Entry is free, but donations and are appreciated. Attendees are welcomed to wear hats as a prize will be awarded for the best headgear.

RSVP to Russell at 949.497.4911 or [email protected]. Donations can be mailed to R Star Foundation, PO Box 4183, Laguna Beach, 92651.
