A decade since opening lighting shop Lightopia in Laguna Beach, the store will relocate by June to the Costa Mesa design center Soco and will hold a warehouse liquidation sale Saturday, April 30, at 1043 N. Coast Highway. Floor merchandise will be discounted over the next two months, founder Kenneth Vick says in a statement.

Spurred by the industry shift to energy-efficient LED lighting from incandescent fixtures, Lightopia, too, seeks a setting that embraces quality design, Vick says.

Lightopia built a reputation for carrying Italian lines such as Foscarini, Flos, and Artemide and locally made products by Siemon & Salazar and Cerno.
