Baseball Camp Opens for Young Players
Laguna Beach High School baseball coach Jeff Sears again offers players 6-13 years old a training camp based on age and skill level beginning the week after school ends for summer.
The $200 per week camp runs in three different sessions (June 25-28, July 9-12, and July 16-19). The first session focuses on skill building for pitching, hitting, and defense; the second gives players a chance to rotate positions; and the third continues with game play.
About 20 players participated in each session last year.
Sears is assisted by a former LBHS player, Austin Paxson. Other former and current players will also be in attendance to teach and provide hands-on experience.
