Local author Gordon McAlpine will discuss his latest work, “Holmes Entangled,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Laguna Beach Books, 1200 S. Coast Highway.
McAlpine’s novel takes on the voice of Sherlock Holmes. Set in 1920s, Holmes’s final adventure leads him through labyrinths of crime and espionage in an inquiry into the unseen nature of existence itself.
The author has chaired and taught creative writing at Chapman University as well as fiction writing classes at UCLA and UC Irvine.
