Retired Gen. Lee and Dorene Butler were selected as grand marshals for the 46th Annual Patriots Day Parade set for Saturday, March 3, parade organizers announced.
Others selected by committee organizers for VIP treatment are honored patriot Louise E. Buckley, citizens of the year Betsy and Gary Jenkins, artist of the year Jorg Dubin and athlete of the year Natasha Strickland.
Laguna Beach High School staff selected junior citizens of the year Caroline Cannan and Bryce Blanton.
The parade committee invites the public to help them fete the honorees at a brunch Sunday, Feb. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Tivoli Terrace, on the Festival of Arts’ grounds. Cost is $25 per person. For reservations or information, email shworthy@juno.com or phone (949) 494-6016.
