Over 135 Laguna Beach merchants have signed up to offer deals, giveaways and attractions to customers who shop local at the citywide sidewalk sale on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26.

The Chamber of Commerce began the initiative with just 26 participating merchants two years ago and encourages shoppers to support their local businesses not only on Small Business Saturday, but all year long.

In aiming to get residents to Think Laguna First when shopping, the Chamber enlisted city officials and merchants to take part in a sidewalk sale under a temporary use permit obtained for the day by the Chamber.

The chamber will also sponsor a citywide passport contest to entice residents to visit six participating merchants and get “stamped” in order to win prizes.

Contest details are on the Chamber website, and passports will be delivered in the Indy Friday, Nov. 25, and available at participating businesses.
