Velma Sun Fletcher of Laguna Beach celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 4. Fletcher was married to the grandson of the Republic of China’s first president. She is the creator of the live orchestra for the Pageant of the Masters and she coordinated the opera at the Irvine Bowl. Her granddaughter is Shien Lin Sun, owner of Laguna Beach Aesthetics.
