Donated by a compassionate pet owner in 1996, Lester, the ruby-eyed albino king snake expired at home peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 27 after living in a fourth-grade El Morro classroom for 16 years.

She brought such pleasure to many students.  She will be remembered by many former fourth graders as one of several reptiles that lived in P-1 and Room 43 in Kathy Vick’s classroom. Thank you to all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of Lester’s legacy at El Morro.

She is survived by Jewel, a corn snake and Michael, a ball python.
