“A Love Supreme,” a fundraising concert featuring jazz pianist Vince Di Murra and his son, fusion guitarist Dre, will be held at the Neighborhood Congregational Church at 340 Saint Ann’s Drive on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. featuring the music of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and John Coltrane.

A director for Princeton University’s Departments of Theatre and Dance and for productions at Laguna Playhouse in 2009 and 2011, Di Mura has arrangements with over 500 productions nationally and has four albums. Son Dre has attended Princeton School of Rock music, played at festivals across the nation, and released his first album with band Resin Gypsy in April.

Special guests include bassist Ernie Nunez, drummer Jimmy Ford, vocalist Mando Cordova, and jazz saxophonist and composer John Coltrane. The event’s inspiration, Coltrane’s epic suite, “A Love Supreme,” speaks of his spiritual journey.

Proceeds go to the church’s general ministry fund. Suggested donation is $15. For reservations, call 949-494-8061.
