Marijuana Tourism Isn’t Welcome in SoLag

Editors,

This is a letter in protest of efforts to plant a marijuana dispensary in already way overcrowded south Laguna Beach.

As a former “drug” writer for publications including Rolling Stone (“David Crosby: A Long Time Gone) and High Times Magazine (“Richard Pryor: A Public Burning”) and a one-time college boy pot dealer ($200 keys, $12 lids, those were the daze) I know about the zoo aspects of marketing weed.

If pot is needed to treat glaucoma or as just an alternative way to get out of your psychic house, far out. But 1,000 people a weekend at 1,000 Steps is enough and home owners in south Laguna do not need a weed mart as a magnet for more crowds of folk here to park in front of our homes on the way to getting high.

  1. Mark,

    I appreciate your unique perspective.

There are many reasons why MEASURE KK IS BAD FOR LAGUNA BEACH.

    VOTE NO ON MEASURE KK!
