Mother-Daughter Team Goes into Business

Laguna Beach natives Ann and Dagmarette Yen, mother and daughter, respectively, recently launched Damo Momo, a line of soft, earth friendly maternity clothing, designed exclusively for the comfort of the expectant mother, as well as a line of soft baby shirts and hats.

According to Dagmarette Yen, nicknamed “Damo,” the “bright and cheerful” shirts and dresses are made from earth friendly fabrics and dyes, all products are 70 percent bamboo and 30 percent organic cotton, and all are made in a fair labor, local workplace. They boast pieces that have “an amazingly soft and silky feel, which actually gets softer with each wash.”

Damo Momo also gives back to the community, and for every dress purchased they donate one dress to a woman in need to Santa Ana’s Casa Teresa, a comprehensive program for homeless, pregnant women, aged 18 and older, who are alone (http://www.casateresa.com/).
