Laguna Art Museum is revamping its members-only annual meeting into a community open house and volunteer recognition reception, now set for Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 6-8 p.m., where the public may enjoy a free night at the museum.

The evening will include remarks from the museum’s board president, local resident Robert Hayden III, a video presentation recapping museum events in 2011 and plans for next year, voting in new board members, and a presentation recognizing the museum’s outstanding volunteers.

Following the presentation, visitors will be treated to drinks and small bites and the opportunity to view the museum’s current exhibitions, Noguchi: California Legacy; Lita Albuquerque: Emergence; and Landscape and Figuration from the Collection: Early to Mid-Twentieth Century, before they close Oct. 2.

“Each year we are excited to share our past successes and future plans with our loyal museum members and supporters. This year, since we have changed the format to an open house, we have planned new and exciting programming,” said Dawn Minegar, the museum’s membership manager.

Those interested in attending should RSVP at [email protected] or 949.494.8971 x203.
