Jazz Quartet Marks Fifth Year at Mozambique
Local Maureen O’Sullivan marks her fifth year playing a Sunday jazz brunch at Mozambique restaurant with a 1 to 3 p.m. performance this June 3.
The vocalist is accompanied by pianist Ron Kobayashi, drummer Ben Wevers and bassist Jack Prathers.
Laguna Tunes Sings Motown Hits
LagunaTunes Chorus, the no-audition community vocal group, celebrates Motown songs from the ‘60s and ‘70s with a free 4 p.m. concert Sunday, June 10, in the Artists’ Theatre, 625 Park Ave.
Director Bob Gunn plans a flashback to radio countdown shows with a program of pop hits made famous by Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and groups like The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, and Gladys Knight and the Pips.
A founding director, Roxanna Ward, will make a special guest appearance.
