Musically inclined young people from Christian, Islamic and Jewish backgrounds are invited to participate in a weekend of collaborative songwriting, recording, filmmaking and discussion.

The program at Laguna College of Art and Design will be led by local radio host and musician Jason Feddy, who also works as a synagogue cantor, and Todd Mack, of Music in Common, based in Sheffeld, Mass., which uses music to build common ground among youth.

“All that’s really expected of the kids is that they write a song, record it and make a video, assisted by professional musicians and film makers. If, at the end, they’ve made new friends from other cultures, it’ll have been a miraculous weekend,” said Feddy.

All levels of musical ability/experience are welcome. For info: call or email Feddy at 949 357-7756 or [email protected].
