The high school’s new drama teacher, actress and educator Alexis Karol directs the production. The cast of 35 student actors and 12 crew members is helped by Assistant Director Celena DelPizzoHowell, an LBHS graduate and former Park Avenue Player.

“Stage Door” features young women who come to New York City to pursue stage careers during the 1930s. Inspired by tales from a real-life boarding house, the hopes and ambitions of the women are well told. Played by Ellie Glade, heroine Terry Randall is a witty young actress who is pursued by two completely different men a Hollywood producer and a Broadway playwright. Both hilarity and drama ensue as Terry and the other women at the Footlights Club pursue their dreams of success on the stage and screen.

The show at 625 Park Ave. will run through Sunday, Nov. 15, with performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, $15 for adults, and $20 for premium seating.

Tickets go on sale on Monday, Nov. 2. 9494977769.
