Bureau Staffer Receives Leadership Award
Ashley Johnson, marketing director of the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau, has been selected as “one of the 30 emerging leaders under 30 years of age” by the California Travel Association.
Johnson was nominated based on her past accomplishments and future professional potential within the industry. She and her peers will receive the award at CTA’s annual California Travel Summit to be held June 4-6 in Sacramento.
LBHS Grad Earns Promotion
Sean S. Jackson, a 2007 graduate of Laguna Beach High School, recently attained the rank of sergeant in the United States Marine Corp.
His mother Crystal Denke Jackson, of Huntington Beach, presented him the new insignia.
Jackson is a member of Camp Pendleton’s 3rd Civil Affairs Group, one of only two in the corps and serves as the liaison between military forces and civil authorities.
Jackson is currently deployed to Afghanistan.
