One of the last requests made by Mr. Laguna, Harry Lawrence, before he died was that the Beautification Council which he founded sixty two years ago, continue to grow. Under the guidance of its new president Ruben Flores, owner of Laguna Nursery, the council has council has reorganized as its own 501c3 nonprofit entity and rededicated itself to its mission of “Clean Quaint Culture.”
For working tirelessly on behalf of the city, the Laguna Beach Beautification Council and the South Laguna Community Garden, Flores has undertaken many projects with an eye toward water conservation.
The Laguna Beach Beautification Council congratulates its president, Ruben Flores on winning a Spirit of Laguna Award for best green enterprise.
