The women’s Water Polo team is successfully defending its world title in Rio at the 2016 Olympics beating the Spanish team 11 to 4 on Tuesday and the Chinese team 12-4 on Thursday.
Saturday’s game against Hungary was closer than the match against China. USA was tied with Hungary at the end of first quarter but was leading 7 to 3 at the half. Final score Hungary 6, USA 11.
Quarterfinals begin Monday Aug. 22.
