Hotel Hosts Foodie-Focused Weekend

The St. Regis Monarch Beach’s first food, wine and jazz festival will feature 50 chefs and 30 vintners Aug. 27-30.

Some of the Orange County based chefs in attendance will include St. Regis’ Stonehill Tavern Chef Raj Dixtit, Slapfish’s Chef Andrew Gruel and chefs from Aniq by House of An.

In addition to evening tastings Friday and Saturday, guests can attend a six-course private dinner with celebrity chef Michael Mina on Thursday and a Sunday jazz brunch with musician Grace Kelly.

Driftwood Revises its Summer Menu

Chef Rainer Schwarz, who cooks for The Deck restaurant and Driftwood Kitchen, has added seasonal items to his menu such as squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta, a mission fig tart with burrata and Maryland soft shell crabs with creole sauce. Hawaiian tuna and ono, Main lobster and Chilean sea bass are also on the new menu.

The menu still includes Driftwood Kitchen’s signature yellowfin tuna tartare tacos and whole fried Texas redfish, suitable for four guests. More information and reservation at: driftwoodkitchen.com.
