Wine, cheese and conversation at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, starts off an expanded version of a new open mic experience hosted at Laguna Beach Books, 1200 S. Coast Highway.
Hosts Michele McCormick and Ed Kaufman invite writers to read their work, three-minute stories, poems or self-written songs.
Bookstore owner Jane Hanauer aims to foster a community of writers by providing an opportunity for exposure and feedback. Attendees will have an opportunity to shape the program’s future direction. The event is open to all writers and listeners and is free for all although a donation of $5 is asked.
