A brunch for the honorees in the upcoming Patriots Day Parade takes place at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 at Tivoli Terrace, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.
The parade steps off Saturday, March 5, led by grand marshal Kelly Boyd. The honored patriot for 2016 is Carlos McAfee. Citizen of the year is Stu Saffer. Junior citizens are Elle Mahdavi and Alexander Rounaghi. Artist of the year is Dion Wright and athletes of the year are champion skimboarders Nicholas Hernandez and Sam Stinnett.
