Laguna local Karen Wilson will serve as chair of Impact Giving, a women’s giving collective that funds non-profit organizations around the world.

Recently, the organization made grants totaling $125,000 at its sixth annual awards ceremony. Recipients included six local and two international nonprofits whose missions ranged from supporting children and the homeless to job training.

“I joined this organization because I was impressed with the dynamic people involved. It has also given me an in-depth understanding of what makes a nonprofit sustainable and successful,” said three-year member Karen Rager-Takeda.
