Neely Takes on New Role

Susan Neely and Dr. Jorge Rubal

Susan Neely, a longtime board member of the Laguna Beach Community Clinic and local realtor, stepped into her new position as the organization’s elected president in June.

“As someone who has been a board member for multiple years, I’m glad Susan is taking the reins,” medical director Dr. Jorge Rubal says in a statement. “With the depth of her community involvement and business mind, she’s the perfect ambassador to the community and our donors.”

Neely explains her support succinctly. “The clinic provides excellent care to the uninsured and under insured,” she said.

Other officers elected include John Link, to the post of treasurer, and Deborah Engle, who joined the board in April, as secretary, clinic spokeswoman Monica Prado says in a statement.
