Power Couple Serves Together
Dr. Igal Silber, a retired pediatric urologist, has joined the Laguna Food Pantry board.
Dr. Silber’s wife, Dr. Diane Silber, a retired clinical psychologist, was voted onto the Pantry’s board in February.
The Silbers, residents since 1978, are involved in numerous philanthropic and civic causes.
“Together they have a wealth of nonprofit board experience and have already offered many excellent ideas that will help make us better able to carry out our mission – to provide free groceries to those who are struggling to make ends meet,” said board president Dr. Korey Jorgensen in a statement
Local Named Among Nation’s Best CFOs
MemorialCare Health System Chief Financial Officer Karen Testman received kudos as among “the most impressive health care executives in the country,” from Becker’s Hospital Review, a magazine that covers the healthcare industry.
Testman, a Laguna Beach resident, was selected as among the nation’s 100 top hospital and health system chief financial officers.
