The Laguna Playhouse received a $5,000 Festival of Arts Foundation grant to support its Youth Education Programs.

The Youth Theatre, Conservatory and Workshops provide arts education for approximately 5,000 youth throughout the year. “Grant support also enables low-income children to participate; it is often their first exposure to live theatre,” said Executive Director Karen Wood.

Its Theatreach program, which brings books to life on-stage for elementary school children, received ARTS OC’s outstanding arts entity award.
