Lavender Bass explores the varied repertoire for their unique instrument combination Thursday, May 11, during a Live! at the Museum performance at Laguna Art Museum.
Bassonist Christine Phelps Webb performs with cellist Jeness Johnson in the 7 p.m. concert, which will include the premiere of a newly commissioned piece for the duo.

Skeleton Crew Is Back
Laguna locals Bob Campion, Casey Simpson, Dan Shapero, Orin Neufeld, Paul Brown and Paul Kaas known as the Skeleton Crew, will return to the Marine Room Tavern, 214 Ocean Ave., at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17.
Skeleton Crew plays the songs of the most beloved and successful touring band of all time, the Grateful Dead.
