“I Am Who I Say I Am,” a program created by teacher Mischa Martineau, has been customized as a bully prevention and intervention program for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach. For three consecutive Thursdays, that began on Jan. 6, girls aged 9 to 11, will attend the 45-minute workshops from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“There is a powerful difference between telling a child what to think and empowering her to think for herself,” said Martineau, who has also customized the program for a presentation to Sawdust Festival artists in March.
