Over 250 people attended the Cheeseburger in Paradise gala for the Boys and Girls Club and contributed over $500,000 towards the organization’s $2.5 million budget.

The club, which offers after-school services at three sites in town, has future enrichment plans but is dependent on community support to make them happen, says a statement from Executive Director Pam Estes. At the gala, she described the club’s economic impact, where every $1 invested returns 10.

The club honored dedicated supporters David and Holly Wilson, who have opened their ocean-front home for fundraisers over eight years, and other generous donors.

Event chair Paula Hornbuckle-Arnold again organized a successful event.
