Ronald Frederick Amberg, 74, passed away on Feb. 27, 2016, in the O’Connor Hospital in Delhi, N.Y.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1941, in New York City and grew up in New Hyde Park, Long Island. Amberg lived in Laguna Beach for many years and had many great friends who will sorely miss him and his infectious laugh and witty humor.
Known in Laguna Beach by his close friends as “Uncle Ronald” and “Smuggler,” Amberg loved life and was always the life of the party.
He most recently returned to the Catskill Mountains area where he lived in Andes and Delhi. Amberg is survived by his brother, Theodore A. Amberg, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
