A Laguna Beach recreation department track team participated in the Orange County track and field championships at Estancia High School on Sunday, May 20.
Twenty-three boys and girls ranging in age from 5 to 14 years competed in various events including the long jump, softball throw, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1600 meter races.
Among the team, several placed among the top four in their respective events and compete this Sunday, June 3, at the Southern California championships at Warren High School in Downey.
