SchoolPower continues its tradition of kicking off the new school year with its first fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. in Hotel Laguna’s Claes Ovation restaurant, named after hotelier Claes Andersen.
The event features Executive Chef Paul Bauer, who has prepared a three-course meal with wine and food pairings. Andersen’s widow, Georgia, has continued the tradition begun by her husband of allowing all of the proceeds from the evening’s ticket sales to go directly to SchoolPower, the non-profit group that supports Laguna’s public schools.
SchoolPower donated over $687,000 to Laguna schools and the SchoolPower Endowment fund last year.
