Ted Doughty, Jr. recently joined the Laguna Beach school district as the new director of facilities, grounds and construction.
He previously worked for a San Diego district. His work experience includes general construction, school maintenance, operations and facilities.
Doughty studied operations management and public administration.
Doughty’s parents are educators as is his wife, a director of a charter school. His daughter is pursuing her graduate degree in environmental policy at Yale University and his son works in business in the San Diego area.
