Four Laguna Beach High School students were recognized by Mayor Elizabeth Pearson at a recent City Council for receiving their Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank in the Boys Scouts of America program.

Ford Brian, Ethan Chesley, Andrew Kimball and Penn Nielson are all members of Troop 38, which is chartered by the Laguna Beach Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In order to achieve the Eagle Scout rank, each boy had to complete at least 21 merit badges, serve actively in various leadership positions in school, sports or church and plan and complete a community service project.

Pearson congratulated the scouts and presented each a proclamation from the City Council of Laguna Beach.
