Sets of Brothers Score Well Against Newport Harbor

Freshman Jake Levine was Laguna Beach High School’s lone first place finisher in the boys short board division surf competition on Wednesday, Oct. 29 against Newport Harbor.

His older brother Zach Levine had a great heat of his own and finished with a second.

The Chapman twins, Shane and Michael, also found a number of nice rides including some cover-ups, each taking second in their respective heats in two- to three foot surf at 61st street in Newport Beach.

For the second week in a row, Wesley Eagleton scored a second with some nice rides and fancy footwork, while Ryan Meisberger took a fourth. In the body board, Dylan Schreyer continued to show promise and took second while Spencer Davis placed fourth.

In girls short board, Paige Vitolo had a great result finishing in second while Jaden Christiansen took third in her first competition ever. Kira Hamilton looked good in the girls long board and finished in fourth. Other boys short board surfers were Jakob Herbert, who took a third place while both Willy Hogan and Jeremy Shutts finished in fourth.
