The 40th running of the VIC skimboard competition, where professional and amateur skim boarders alike ride the shore break at Aliso Beach, begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.
Victoria Skimboards of Laguna Beach puts on the contest, which is free to the public and continues with final heats beginning Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The event will be live streamed online, at thevic.victoriaskimboards.com.
