Boys Soccer (2-4-6, 0-3-2)

Breakers saw their playoff hopes slip away last Wednesday, Jan. 20 as Estancia rallied from a 1-0 deficit to edge Laguna 2-1 at Guyer Field. The Eagles broke the tie on a penalty kick with 10 minutes remaining. Two days later, Breakers were held to a 0-0 tie by winless Calvary Chapel in a contest played at Centennial park in Santa Ana.

Girls Soccer (9-4-2, 4-1)

Calvary Chapel surprised Laguna 3-1 in a game played at Centennial park on Thursday, Jan. 21. The Eagles victory moved them into first place just a point ahead of Laguna with a 4-0-1 league record. Hot on their tail is Estancia with a 3-1-1 record. Calvary and Estancia met this past week in their second round game and the Breakers will close out their league play at Estancia on Monday, Feb. 8 and hosting Calvary on Wednesday, Feb. 10. All three schools will represent the Orange Coast League in the playoffs but it is wide open as to who will be the league champion.
