This year’s Charm House Tour, Village Laguna’s annual celebration of Laguna Beach’s original homes, will take place on Sunday, May 19.
The tour will begin in the front parking lot of Mission Hospital Laguna, 31872 S. Coast Highway, from noon until 5 p.m. Parking is free on the fourth floor roof of the Mission Hospital parking structure, behind the hospital.
The five homes on the tour – all in South Laguna – are labeled Mosaic Garden, Indigo Seas, Casa Katalina, Benzie’s Bungalow and The Floating Glass House.
An added attraction this year will be refreshments served mid-tour in the South Laguna Community Garden Park. At the refreshment stop, Arnold Hano, founding father of Village Laguna, will be signing his just-published book on the history and politics of Laguna Beach, “It Takes a Villager.”
Proceeds serve as the principal fundraiser for Village Laguna, which seeks to preserve village character in part by participating in the political process.
Tickets are available for purchase at $45 ($55 on the day of the tour) from Village Laguna’s website, villagelaguna.org, by mail (P.O. Box 1309, Laguna Beach, CA 92652) or from one of the following local outlets: Copy & Print Center, Cottage Furnishings, Fawn Memories, Hotel Laguna, La Casa del Camino, Laguna Beach Books, Laguna Nursery, Monarch Bay Optometry, and Rock Martin Custom Jewelry.
