Juried fine art festival Laguna Art-A-Fair, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will open its gates on Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting, free entry and a golden ticket contest entry for those attending the ribbon cutting.

Customers who spend $200 at the sales booth from June 24 until Aug. 13 will also receive a raffle ticket for a $500 gift certificate at Laguna Art-A-Fair, which will be announced Aug. 13 at an anniversary party.

Highlights from this year’s festival will include a live art auction and wine event benefiting Laguna College of Art and Design on July 10, the installation on Aug. 20 of a sea lion sculpture at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and the “Art is Timeless” clock project.

As always daily adult art workshops in watercolor, oil, acrylic painting, clay sculpting and gourds will be offered for $30-45 per person and there will be live entertainment Thursdays through Sundays and dining at Tivoli Too, 777 Laguna Canyon Rd.

The festival is open through Aug. 28 daily from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $5.50-$7.50. Entry is free for Laguna residents.
