Tide Rolls Over Bulldogs
The Laguna Beach flag football team Crimson Tide (fourth-fifth graders), achieved a league first three-peat this season, which ended this past Sunday, Feb. 7, with championship games at Guyer Field.
The team led by quarterback Max Holtzclaw and returning players Taylor Towe, Joey Capobianco, and Ben Neufeld is undefeated in three seasons.
The Tide, coached by Tim Towe and Jeff Murray, won the Division II championship game 44-14 over the Bulldogs.
B-ball for Adults Sign-Up is Underway
Sign-ups continue through Feb. 22 for the fourth season of the adult spring basketball at the Boys & Girls Club. The league fee for the spring season is $150 for a single play or $1,200 for a team.
Games will be played for 14 weeks from Feb. 24 through May 30 on Mondays or Wednesdays starting at 7:15 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. Assistant Athletic Director Erik Vasquez sets the schedule.
