Laguna Beach’s iconic Riddle Field has never looked better thanks to the transplanted infield grass from Angel Stadium.
As impressive as the field, was the Sportsworld pitching duo of Blake Pivaroff and Kent Cebrerros, who led their team to an 8-0 victory over Morgan Stanley in the LBLL AAA Division season opener on Tuesday, March 8.
Sportsworld’s Pivaroff fanned 10 batters in five innings.
Morgan’s Nolan Smith managed to get on base with a walk, but was caught stealing home thanks to a defensive play by Sportsworld catcher Dillon Gaboury.
Kent Cebrerros completed the no-hitter by facing three batters in the sixth inning.
In addition to his lights out pitching performance, Pivaroff led the offensive charge by Sportsworld, going three for three at the plate.
Christian Holm and Jett Rocha also notched hits for Sportsworld.
Josh McManus pitched two shutout innings with four strikeouts to start the season for Morgan Stanley.
