Comedian David Steinberg will perform “An Evening with David Steinberg” on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road.

Steinberg looks back and forward at his life in comedy in this one-man show.

Play Reading, Talk Explores a Difficult Path for Vets

Bare Bones Theatre will present a reading of the play “Orange Julius” by Basil Kreimendahl at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the art studio of Sandra Jones Campbell , 2173 Laguna Canyon Dr.

Mark Miller, Ava Burton, Deb Conroy, Rachel Rosenfeld, and Charlie Pacello perform in this story about a Vietnam War veteran returning home after the horrors of war and exposure to Agent Orange.

The play will be followed by a discussion about reaching out to veterans and helping them re-integrate into the community.

Raising a Tune to Elevate Church Music

Violinist Airi Enomoto and Laguna’s own Jeffrey Briar on piano perform in a wide-ranging concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in the sanctuary of Neighborhood Congregational Church, 3340 St. Ann’s Drive. Admission is $15.

Besides classic repertoire, Broadway tunes and original compositions by Briar, the programming includes a session of Laughter Yoga, conscious, deliberate laughing, also led by Briar. He teaches therapeutic laughter.

Enomoto, a music therapist professionally, performs with community orchestras and chamber ensembles.
