Power outage. 7 a.m. Power outage affecting 4,000 customers from Nyes Place to Aliso dip.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

Burglary. 8:36 a.m. 400 block of Hawthorne Rd. Two bikes valued at $4,000 taken from tool shed.

Probation search. 5:33 p.m. San Clemente. Andrew James Barley, 28, of Dana Point was arrested for suspicion of making criminal threats by text as well as drug charges.

Burglary. 5:38 p.m. 500 block of S. Coast Hwy. A man stole a Mick Jagger painting valued at $2,500 while a clerk spoke with a female customer in the rear of the gallery.

Traffic stop. 9:56 p.m. Oak Street. A San Gabriel woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

Fraud. 10:24 a.m. 2100 block of Temple Hills Dr. Two fraudulent withdrawals totaling $840 were made on the victim’s account.

Repo of the week. 1400 block of Coral Drive. 2009 Porsche 911.

Disturbance. 5:10 p.m. 700 block of Cress St. Officers were called for a child custody dispute, but the 41-year-old father was arrested for an outstanding auto insurance fraud warrant.

Battery. 1200 block of Skyline Dr. The parent of a 14-year-old reported a fight with another 14-year-old.

Thursday, Jan. 12

Traffic stop. 12:43 a.m. Broadway Place. A 20-year-old Long Beach woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

Christmas tree on fire. 12:45 a.m. 400 block of Myrtle St. Joel Thomas Uzelac, 20, of Mission Viejo, and Sean Tyler Christiansen, 21, of Aliso Viejo, were charged with suspicion of conspiracy and arson, both felony charges and held for $20,000 bail.

 

Fraud. Noon. 300 block of Forest Ave. Six checks totaling $2,340 have been drawn on the victim’s account.

 

Fraud. 1 p.m. 1300 block of S. Coast Hwy. Unauthorized charges totaling $5,000 have been made on a business card.

 

Burglary. 1 p.m. 21500 block of Wesley Drive. An investigation is underway over the suspected theft of $4,300 in jewelry by house cleaners.

 

Friday, Jan. 13

 

Traffic stop. 1:24 a.m. 30600 block of Coast Hwy. A 20-year-old Dana Point man was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

 

Search warrant. 6 a.m. 27100 block of Coast Hwy. A search warrant was executed and several people present who know each other were arrested on suspicion of various felony drug charges. They are Shelby Mertes, 25, of Laguna Niguel; Daniele Fuhrmann, 24, of San Juan Capistrano; Kayla Strehle, 20, of Aliso Viejo; Dustin Ctibor, 39, of Dana Point; and Adam Anderson, 29, of San Clemente.

 

Disturbance. 8:30 p.m. 200 block of Ruby St. A complaint of loud music emanating from a car resulted in police detaining three juveniles, who were in possession of nitrous oxide canisters and another illegally in possession of his father’s stun gun.

 

Saturday, Jan. 14

 

Traffic stop. 1:26 a.m. 20600 Laguna Canyon Rd. A 26-year-old Laguna Niguel man was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

 

Traffic stop. 6:13 a.m. Pearl St. A 25-year-old San Clemente man was arrested for DUI.

 

Traffic stop. 1:57 p.m. Coast Highway. A 25-year-old Mission Viejo man was arrested for DUI and held for $15,000 bail.

 

Traffic stop. 7:47 p.m. Summit Drive. A 75-year-old Laguna Beach woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior arrest.

 

Sunday, Jan. 15

Traffic stop. 12:57 a.m. 2300 block of Coast Highway. Wendy Lou Bowman, 45, of La Habra, and Megan Vohn, 22, of Arizona, were arrested for suspicion of possessing meth and syringes,  and being under the influence. Bail was set at $20,000.

 

Traffic stop. 1:16 a.m. Vista del Sol. A 38-year-old Rancho Santa Margarita man was arrested for DUI.

 

Traffic stop. 2:22 a.m. 200 block of Brooks St. A 36-year-old Los Angeles woman was arrested for DUI.

 

Warrant service. 2:21 p.m. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. Transient Michael Faircloth, 55, was arrested for 16 outstanding warrants, including nine drunk in public citations.

 

Battery. 9:28 p.m. 200 block of Forest Avenue. David Shay, 48, of Irvine, and transient Jeremiah Garrison placed each other under citizen’s arrest and were released by police following a confrontation over Shay’s practice of dropping off his wheelchair bound mother to beg for money. Witnesses described mutual combat.
