Traffic stop. 12:07 a.m. Crown Valley Parkway and Highway 1. A 28-year-old Laguna Hills man was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, sale or transportation of methamphetamine, and driving with a suspended license.
Traffic stop. 12:16 a.m. 200 block of Thalia Street. A 21-year-old Laguna Niguel man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving with a BAC over 0.08 percent and held for $2,500 bail.
Disturbance. 1:39 a.m. 400 block of South Coast Highway. A fight involving a group of 10 people reportedly broke out, resulting in a head injury. Police arrested three people on suspicion of assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury—a 23-year-old Citrus Heights man, a 25-year-old Westminster man, and a 23-year-old Westminster man. All three were held for $25,000 bail.
Saturday, April 20
Fraud report. 9:47 a.m. 1300 block of Dunning Drive. A woman reported that someone had cashed a check under her name—the subject had her credit card number and PIN. Total loss was $2,000.
Fraud report. 4:14 p.m. 500 block of Diamond Street. A tech support company allegedly gained access to a man’s bank account information and had been stealing money from him for 10 days. Total loss was $700,000.
Suspicious person. 6:52 p.m. 900 block of Park Avenue. A 33-year-old man without a fixed address was arrested for trespassing after allegedly standing on a resident’s roof and yelling. The man was held without bail due to a parole violation.
Friday, April 19
Att to locate. 11:05 a.m. Capistrano Avenue and Miramar Street. A woman noticed a “rusted old hand grenade” near a fire hydrant on the ground. She left the site and called her brother, who advised her to call the police. Bomb squad arrived and determined that the grenade was inert.
