Wednesday, May 18

Panga landing. Agate Street Beach. 9:44 a.m. Officers were dispatched after a resident observed a panga boat landing on the sand and about 16 people running towards 100 Agate St. Officers immediately detained nine individuals at Agate Street and Ocean Way. The same resident witnessed five individuals enter a parked vehicle at 1300 S. Coast Hwy. Officers detained the vehicle’s five occupants. Newport Beach police, Orange County Sheriff’s  Department, and Maritime Coordination Center assisted Laguna Beach with the response. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents responded and took over the investigation. CBP took custody of the fourteen individuals pending further investigation.

Thursday, May 19

Arson. Irvine Cove and North Coast Highway. 7 p.m. Officers immediately responded to a report of a brush fire and upon arriving found a citizen extinguishing a small fire inside a landscaped retaining wall near the west entrance of Irvine Cove. Officers received information that the man suspected of starting the fire fled northbound on Coast Highway. Officers contacted the man on El Moro trail and detained him. An arson investigation was conducted and Sergio Rios-Vasquez, 60, was arrested on two counts of felony arson. He is in custody at the Theo Lacy Facility on a $50,000 bail, jail records show. He’s scheduled to appear at Harbor Justice Center on June 1.

Friday, May 20

Resisting arrest. Nicole Diana Adams, 31, of Mission Viejo was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor resisting arrest, methamphetamine possession, and drug paraphernalia possession. She was held on a $500 bail.

Drug sales. Kevin Hien Thanh Ly. 21, of Westminster was arrested on suspicion of felony narcotics possession for sale, misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs, and driving on a license suspended for a prior DUI charge. He was held on a $30,500 bail.

Trespassing. Christy Kate King, 47, of San Clemente was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest. She was held on a $500 bail.

Drunk driving. Antonio Javier Santillan, 36, of Riverside was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, driving on a license suspended for a prior DUI charge, and misdemeanor bench warrants. He was held on a $22,500 bail.

Saturday, May 21

Drunk driving. A 27-year-old San Diego woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was held on a $2,500 bail.

Drunk driving. A 21-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was held on a $5,000 bail.

Domestic battery. Alison Elizabeth Macrae, 51, of Vancouver was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery of a spouse or ex-spouse. She was held on a $10,000 bail.

Solicitation. Nicole Diana Adams, 31, of Mission Viejo was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor solicitation of a lewd act. She was held on a $500 bail.

Indecent exposure. Jacob Dale Simmons, 30, of San Diego was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. He was held on a $500 bail.

Drunk driving. A 45-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was held on a $2,500 bail.

Sunday, May 22

Domestic battery. Cynthia Michelle Dans, 46, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery of a spouse or ex-spouse. She was held on a $10,000 bail.

Bench warrant. Kevin James Sullivan, 59, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of an open bench warrant. He was held on a $15,000 bail.

Public intoxication. Dillon Lee Ybarra, 27, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. He was held on a $500 bail.

Monday, May 23

Resisting arrest. Brian Scott Blades, 47, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest. He was held on a $500 bail.

Vandalism. Wesley Tyler Smith, 39, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism. He was held on a $500 bail.

A public records request was filed Tuesday seeking additional details on the above arrests. As of press time, the Independent’s request was still pending.
